Advisory Committee for Water Resources Databases
The Advisory Committee for Water Resources Databases was created by the Nebraska GIS Steering Committee in pursuit of its long-range goal to coordinate the development, maintenance and distribution of priority digital geospatial databases. The Advisory Committee is an interagency, intergovernmental working group consisting of agencies that have a particular interest in facilitating the development one or more digital, geospatial water resource related databases. The Advisory Committee was initially charged with researching and developing an action plan for the development of a statewide hydrography (streams) database. In response to a broader range of interest from the Advisory Committee members, the focus has been widened to include other water resources databases.
The Nebraska Department of Water Resources is acting a the lead agency to facilitate the processes of the Advisory Committee. Ann Bleed, DWR, is serving as the Advisory Committee Chair. Other committee members, their agency affiliation, and their email addresses are available here. For further information on the Advisory Committee contact: Ann Bleed, DWR, or Larry K. Zink, GIS Steering Committee Coordinator.
